In 2016 development companies put into operation 737 thousand sq.m of residential properties in Kaluga oblast. This year the planned volume of residential property is 720 thousand sq.m, however the prospective volume can even exceed this amount and reach 800 thousand sq.m.
The majority of residential projects are constructed in Kaluga, Obinsk and Borovskoy area.
New residential districts are supplied with all necessary infrastructure: schools, kindergartens, sport facilities, cultural and healthcare centers.
In the beginning of this year Kaluga government opened a new school for 1360 pupils (the biggest in Kaluga oblast and one of the biggest in Russia). This year construction of 2 more schools has been launched (for 1000 pupils each).
Last year many social facilities were put into operation in Kaluga oblast, among them: policlinic in Balabanov, perinatal center in Kaluga and modern innovative cultural center.
